The Propellent Vendor 12000, or the Fuel Station, is the left-most shop and sells fuel at $1 per liter. If the mining pod runs out of fuel, it explodes instantly, forcing you to restart at the last save point. Fuel is passively consumed by the pod, at around 5 liters per minute while idling, and more if flying (~17 liters/minute while flying upwards with no additional weight) or digging. Fuel consumption is paused while the game is paused, including while looking in shops.
Matter Transmitter safely teleports you immediately to the right of the Propellent Vendor 12000. Quantum Teleporter teleports you slightly above the Vendor and additionally may fling you in a random direction for possible fall damage.
Reserve Fuel Tank is an alternative method of refuelling that is more expensive but portable.
